Pheasants

Have you heard of him? I know another guy up by me, Ernest Hase, have you heard of him? He used to raise grouse but still raises quail and pheasants. I got my impeyans and mountain quail from him. They are very nice birds.
The 2 I got he said that they were super tame and would eat from his hand. Not at all! They are better now but when I first got them the were flying into the fence and netting in their 10by10 foot pen! It was ridiculous how wild they were. They are calm enough now that they will just pace and look at me. No idea what happened there, change of environment?
I had one quail that was the wildest thing ever and I worked with her for a year and she was the tame till she died at age 8.
