Hi fellow chicken lovers!
I have had my three lovely, gentle, mixed breed girls for about two months now and I love them to bits!
My sister is moving house and can no longer keep her barred rock hen, so I am going to introduce her to my flock, along with another hen from a different breeder. I have been terribly naive about the whole introduction thing up until now, only now just realizing (after reading posts on this website) that I need to separate them. Now I'm a bit concerned about the whole process. I am going to borrow a mobile coop off a friend for the newcomers, would it be OK to put the two new girls in this together or do I need to separate them also? Would I be best to introduce one at a time, or would that just prolong the stress?

Hi and welcome to BYC - great that you have joined us. Here's a few links on integration (below) that may help you to devise a plan that will suit your needs and set up. In an ideal world, each new bird should be quarantined for around 1 month, and kept at least 200 yards both from each other and the existing flock (along with strict sanitary practices on your behalf). If thats not possible, then I'd suggest at least checking each bird for lice (and scaly leg mites) ensuring that they do not have any discharge from their "nostrils". If all is seems ok, then I'd put them together, before introducing them to your flock (and introduce them both at the same time).
