Help with predators

Hey, what's your next step?

I put electric fencing on and around my coop and run...it has worked like a charm, I will post the link:

Wish the border collies were working out better! They just too young right now...I have dogs that are chicken size....they do sound out a warning as small watchdogs I think they do a creditable job and for sure hear things that I can't!

No predator problem yet...I just locked mine up for the night, which is when the fence gets turned on: when they are in the coop and run. This design is actually bear-proof.

Hang on a sec i find it for you!

This might help, might not: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/1099772/simplest-electric-fence-ever-cheep

I brought my chickens, raised from day old or so, up around the small dogs, so the dogs were very familiar and interested and around them all day (although the chicks were contained of course). Then the chickens got bigger and let the dogs know who was boss. The chicken. They now peacefully co-exist and my new tiny rescue dog has learned from the other older dogs. It can be done.

They are all out in the yard together during the day playing and doing what they do. There is no chasing. The dogs would get pecked.

Hope this helps!

Sorry to hear about your chickens. I have lost most of my flock for 2 yrs in row. To raccoons of all things. Put out 2 traps and Finally caught one of the little suckers. Believe it or not they were chewing through the chicken wire.
