I know that the city code for Monroe proper says no backyard chickens, but what about West Monroe? I've looked thru the ordinances and it seems vague. Any insights? Thank you!

I live 4 blocks from the police station (and on one of the busiest streets) and they drive by. Never had an issue. My neighbor has 8-10 hens and i have 4. The only time I've ever heard anything is when I accidently had a rooster. While I was waiting to confirm it was a HE it started crowing. The officer told me i needed to get rid of him before they were called out (he was just driving by) and i did. Didn't say anything about my hens. As far as i can tell they really could care less unless they have to be called out. My neighbors know I have them and I've told them if there is an issue please talk to me before the law. I keep the smell down and my girls are very quiet and to themselves unless laying an egg. I see a lot of people getting chickens around here and no one knows. I give my neighbor who for chickens, because I had them, advice on how to raise them. Everyone who sees my coop and hens is so fascinated and wants to look at them.
