please stay on topic or create your own thread to discuss other things, I'm genuinely interested in any good advice people might have when it comes to butchering emu, different recipes, feed for weight gain etc.. plus we should all be supporting each other regardless of the endgame we all want healthy animals

I agree.

And the trying to guilt people into believing their views as well as the immature "jokes" at the end of stuff is unnecessary. It is both sides doing it.

Can't we all just get along?

If you don't like or believe in something, fine. But there is no need to continue attacking each other or shoving beliefs down one anothers throats. Agree to disagree and move in like mature adults.

Btw, this isn't directed at anyone in particular because I've seen immaturity (mixed with some maturity) on all sides.

Also I think it would do everyone well to try to remember to ask questions first and to not assume things. If youre not sure what their situation is or what their motives are etc etc ASK.

But it also shouldn't matter what the situation is. Everyone has a right to their beliefs whether it's a necessity for them or not.

Now, let's get back to the topic at hand and try to answer the OP's question.

I would also like to point out/ask that if this post had been about the proper time to kill a chicken, cow, pig, etc. Would there have been so much backlash? Probably not. It just depends the value we assign to the animal. Though there are plenty of emu and ostrich farms.

That said, I probably wouldn't eat either.

Unsubscribing. This is getting ridiculous.[/quotes can take a picture of the pricing if you don't beleive me.

Where I live it is $5

Unsubscribing. This is getting ridiculous.

I think they were talking about the cheapest eggs you can buy, not organic or cage free or anything. I don't buy the cheapest ones or actually any eggs anymore cause I have chickens but is $5 really the cheapest eggs in the store? You must live in an expensive area!

That said, I think everyone just needs to breathe and calm down, try to put yourself in the other persons shoes, and stop fighting

I am sorry, but this entire thread has gotten extremely off track from starting a restaurant, arguing about prices, etc... to ethical ways to eat or not eat meat.

Please refrain from arguing in threads and if you are not a meat eater, do not post in threads that discuss the killing or slaughter of those animals.

Thank you for your understanding.
