Peacock id

I've been free ranging mine for 4 years and I'm not going to say I'm expert but I have never wormed my peafowl and they are always found hanging out with chickens, goats, and ducks . Do not release them unless you have a guard dog and they are less than 8 months when you get them also cage then for a couple months firs

With free range though, the concentration of parasites is lower than penned. Risk of parasitic diseases decrease with free range birds. But predators are the new problem.

Thanks for the info. Predators havent been a problem on the peacocks. We have lost several guineas to both hawks and possum. Had a huge bald eagle circling Saturday that looked like he could carry off anything in the yard.
