Someone had mentioned a powder or liquid that you mix with water and it covers a very large area...does this ring a bell with anyone?

To deter mosquitos? Yes, they sell different things at feed stores and home depot and such. I don't like the idea of adding that to the drinking water though. I just change it out every couple of days.

Yes, its a small .33oz packet called Demon WP, kills the bugs, and the chickens are fine eating them, at least that is what someone posted in here, i think on a separate thread or subject.
Im going to use it hopefully sunday, since its not suppose to rain. will let you know how it works.
you use one packet in 1-5 gallons of water and it covers 800 to 1600sq
Yes, probably safe for chickens but..... will probably kill honey bees too.

I live in the forest, mosquitoes thrive here.
That spray sounds like a good idea but with a bad reality.
What happens after you mow or it rains? And as mentioned it won't kill only the pest but also other beneficial insects. Bees aren't the only pollinators, ants also pollinate and I am sure there are more that I don't know. Some insects are there eating the decay of other plants keeping the environment going.
Makes me crazy that they go after my dogs especially!

Did you know that only female mosquitoes bite?
They need the blood to lay eggs. And male skeeters feed on pollen (or nectar, cant remember which one).
