Tom Turkey disinterested I think?

This is my first go round with turkeys. I raised 13 and sold the extra Tom's (at Thanksgiving) and kept a Narragansett Tom, 2 Narragansett hens, and 3 Royal Palm hens. They are all 11 months old. I feed them Game Bird 30% and mix in about 25% scratch, they also get fresh grass, some fruit, and kale.
My question is my Nar girls are squatting in front of him for the last week or so, I have not seen him attempt to mount. The Roy girls don't seem to be squatting yet. No eggs so far. Is this normal, shouldn't he be mounting when they squat? I thought 5 hens and 1 Tom would be a good ratio to continue, but now I am worried I kept a Tom that doesn't want to breed the hens? Of course I am not watching 24/7 but I am home all day and I have watched the girls squatting both out in the run and in the turkey barn and haven't seen him try yet. I do not care about pure bred these are for meat, I think the Narragansett are a little bigger and hardier so I didn't keep a Royal Tom.

Your turkeys are adults now and do not need 30% protein. I feed my adult turkeys a good quality 15% lay pellets with free choice oyster shell available.

I am home almost all the time and I often miss breeding attempts and yet when they are laying the eggs are fertile. This doesn't mean your tom is doing his part but it does mean that just because you didn't see it happen doesn't mean that it didn't happen.

I am a lot farther north than you are and my hens do not appear to be squatting yet. I do believe that one of my hens got bred based on how roughed up her back feathers looked.

Ok I thought about switching them to the lower protein gamebird but I wasn't sure. For both my chickens and turkeys I throw oyster shell out in their runs weekly along with hardboiled chicken eggs. Thanks for the advise, I will keep a close watch on the girls back feathers.

Ok so I have gotten my first two turkey eggs have no idea yet if the are fertile.
Now I can tell you that I did witness 2 breedings today by my Tom.
If you want a good laugh here it is: So per usual the last ten days or so when I enter the coop in the morning my gray girls squat in front of me...Tom is munching on food and totally oblivious. So I knelt down and patted her back and scratched her neck, talking to her telling her that she is a good girl and Tom is stupid, When I patted her back he jerks his head up out of the feed dish and comes strutting over, I say come on Tom do your thing and I pat her back again, he walks over I slowly back up, he hops on and breeds her...(me laughing as quietly as I can) so I watched and they completed the deed, later that day I was mowing and I witnessed him hop on one of the white girls...so I guess Tom is not a dud afterall...tee hee.

Our TOM is doing nothing. One hen has been laying for the last month and had a clutch of rotten eggs. I chucked them all out and started a new nest for her.
The Second hen is not laying but is going broody since I changed the nest location. I have to chase them all out every morning. The TOM stays in the house pacing and thumping away protecting the sitting girls.
I chase them all out with the broom. The girls are very persistent. I figure if I put they are out with him in the run there will be more space for "action".
He tried to mount them about a month ago twice in the house. I heard the girls crying and ran out to see what was happenign I thought, on first glance he was killing them. But after these 2 attempts nothing else has happened.
I have not seen the girls "sit/squat" for him or even show him any interest. He is thumping and pacing all day long.
We want chicks and I dont see it happening.
I wonder if the TOM is just dumb and we should just look for a new one?

Have you checked any eggs for fertility lately.

They may be mating while your not around.

I have a couple of hens that only seem to be in the mood about 1 hour before they go to roost in the evenings. Only time I've seen them present themselves.

Up-date: yes I have several incubating I have candled them and most of them were fertile.

We have been putting them all out in the run for the last few days. They are very hissy, I get them out of the house with a broom, nicely, but I use a broom after being bitten.Still no ruffled feathers.
The girls are glued to the nest as soon as I let them in the house. The TOM just paces in front of them endlessly protecting them in the house while they sit on the nest with their backs to him.

Can you block off the nests where they can't get in them. Try and break their brood.

If they are truly broody are they still laying?

I am confused, you don't want them to hatch the eggs?
If you don't want them to hatch take the eggs away. If you do want them to hatch, mama hen needs to be on her nest regulating the temp. of the eggs.
