Help me speculate.....

Barred rock ( not yellow)
Rosecomb brown leghorn ( some shade of brown)
Cuckoo Marans ( (not yellow)

Whiting true blue ( unknown)
Easter eggers ( probably some shade of brown)
And the "free rare exotic" ( unknown)

So my question is.....I have 8 yellow chicks. I know from research that the white wynadotte chicks are yellow, but what would the other three yellow chicks be? Easter eggers? The free exotic? For those who order a lot from McMurray, what has your free exotic been? Lots of feedback please! Thanks
P.s. for those who say the math doesn't add up, I had 32, but two died. I actually ordered 30, plus the free exotic, and they actually sent a total of 32.

OK.....But then wouldn't I have 10 yellow chicks? 5 true blues and 5 white wynadotte? Btw, I guess I should have said the two that died were dark colored chicks. So there has only been 8 yellow chicks the whole time.

Any free bird is male. I'd not worry about the breed unless you are able to keep roosters. Free exotic means "we need to get rid of male chicks!" and another way to do that is with Fry Pan Special where the common breed males are dumped. Then of course any excuse to toss in extra birds in the name of "your need more chicks in a box to stay warm" works well.

I don't mind having a rooster as long as he's nice. If he attacks or is aggressive, he's dinner. If I do have one rooster, wont he be overwhelmed by having 49 hens? (I have 20 grown hens also)
