I was hoping for some speculation and opinions on something. I have 30 new chicks from McMurray. The breeds are 5 of each:
Barred rock
Rosecomb brown leghorn
Cuckoo Maran
White wynadotte
Whiting true blue
Easter eggers
And the "free rare exotic"

So my question is.....I have 8 yellow chicks. I know from research that the white wynadotte chicks are yellow, but what would the other three yellow chicks be? Easter eggers? The free exotic? For those who order a lot from McMurray, what has your free exotic been? Lots of feedback please! Thanks
P.s. for those who say the math doesn't add up, I had 32, but two died. I actually ordered 30, plus the free exotic, and they actually sent a total of 32.

Barred rock ( not yellow)
Rosecomb brown leghorn ( some shade of brown)
Cuckoo Marans ( (not yellow)
White Wyandotte ( could be yellow if built on the eWh ( Wheaten allele)
Whiting true blue ( unknown)
Easter eggers ( probably some shade of brown)
And the "free rare exotic" ( unknown)

Most likely the whiting true blues are 3 of the yellow chicks

OK.....But then wouldn't I have 10 yellow chicks? 5 true blues and 5 white wynadotte? Btw, I guess I should have said the two that died were dark colored chicks. So there has only been 8 yellow chicks the whole time.

Any free bird is male. I'd not worry about the breed unless you are able to keep roosters. Free exotic means "we need to get rid of male chicks!" and another way to do that is with Fry Pan Special where the common breed males are dumped. Then of course any excuse to toss in extra birds in the name of "your need more chicks in a box to stay warm" works well.

No in the description of a whiting true blues it says these do not breed true so you can end up with lots of colors of birds.

Sometimes you do get cool birds though.

OK, cool. So I know the yellow chicks are most definitely white wynadottes, and probably the whiting true blues. Any chance of one being an EE? Or are those not usually yellow chicks?
I don't mind having a rooster as long as he's nice. If he attacks or is aggressive, he's dinner. If I do have one rooster, wont he be overwhelmed by having 49 hens? (I have 20 grown hens also)

No, EE are chipmunk striped.
the Wyandotte(flat comb) and Whiting(straight comb-I think) should be easy to tell apart from their combs
