Thats not true.I had a bantam who laid during her broodyness,she was full blown.
Pearl the duck,what you have described sounds almost like a confused hen .I have a hen who dies what yours does and i know she for a fact she isnt.I am think you probably do not have a broody onve agian.

If she is still laying eggs then she is not broody.
Wait until she stops laying eggs and stays on the nest day and night for 2-3 days before you order your hatching eggs, unless you have an incubator to fall back on.
Hiw are for sure you have 2 hebs abd 1 drake?
