What is taking my chickens?

Owls, Foxes, Coyotes, Raccoons, and Opossums (small birds only).

Given what you've said, my money is on an Owl.

That's not 100% true, as it really depends on your environment. I never locked up my birds when I loved in so cal and never lost a single one. Many will have that same experience. But my current location demands much tighter securities for sure or you WILL sustain loss.

I agree, with stated parameters, my guess is also on owl.
