I have an English orpingtoon rooster with buff/Columbian English hens. Does anyone have pictures of chicks from this cross?
Are there problems with this cross when I sell chicks?
I also have a lemon cuckoo orpington rooster is there any difference if I breed him to buff hens vs buff/Colombian?
I have some young English buff hens and roosters; splash and black hens from blue flock, lemon cuckoo large rooster and very petite hen and the English roo and hens already mentioned. If anyone has recommendations on pairings let me know.

I did not expect the dark markings on their heads.

Just out of the incubator. One splash cross and two blacks.

I hope I can make things clearer in this post because I would really like some help.

Are the chicks from a Buff Orpington Rooster and a Buff/Columbian hen properly labeled Buff Orpington?
If I choose to breed my Lemon Cuckoo rooster with Buff/ Columbian hens will that be the same as putting them with regular buff orpington hens as far as coloring?
I am not raising show birds but would like to stay true to the breed since some of my birds are pretty nice. I don't know how the fact that some hens are buff/Columbian with darker coloring and black in tail affects that.

Secondly what color expectations can I have if I breed either of these roosters with my black and splash hens from a blue flock. Of the 12 chicks I hatched I had three that looked like the blue flock mothers as babies. I had a couple that looked like buff babies. The remainder had a mixture of black spots on their heads and or other dark markings on the head and some on the wings. I have more buff hens than the blues so I am trying to figure out why these chicks have these markings. The only picture I have found of lemon cuckoo chicks did not show markings of any kind on the chicks.

My lemon cuckoo hen is very small and my lemon cuckoo rooster is literally a handsome devil. I want to cross them with my English BO to get better genetic stock (bigger, calmer) to continue breeding them by using their offspring.
I am trying to decide if I want to keep the blues in my flock. If there is no merit in breeding them with either rooster I probably won't.

I have always raised chickens for eggs and fun. However I have more money invested now and I need to be able to sell some chicks to afford to keep them.

Thank you for any help you can give me.
