A week ago I gave my Standard Dark Cornish male to my dad. I have 17 chicks of his cross with my Madisons and White Plymouth Rock of 1 and 2 weeks old plus another 10 hatching as I post this thread in addition anotherb3 weeks or so of his fertility in my girls. A friend of mine gave me this beauty for my girls, a 2 yr old Barred Plymouth Rock male. I've read a couple times that we don't need a cornish cross to get a decent meat bird, that there's a lot of heritage breeds to work with, well only heritage I have is my WPR and my two hybrid dual purpose madisons add this big boy to the equation and lets see what we get. In a month or so the eggs will have his fertility.
