I am dosing my chickens with Valbazen. I tried doing the little pieces of bread soaking up the liquid but some chickens ate it no problem and some wouldn't touch it. I'm not comfortable enough to put the syringe down their throat. Does any one have any ideas of different foods to hide this medicine in to give to my chickens. I have 8 to dose. Any ideas are appreciated!

I like to wait until it's dark and they're roosting in the coop. I put on my headlamp, get a dropper, and head out with the wormer. By pulling gently on both wattles, their mouth will open, and you can easily drop the wormer into their mouth. No need to squirt it down their throat. Once it's in their mouth, let go of the wattles and they'll swallow it.

Two people makes this easier (One to hold the chicken while you do the wormer), but I can do it by myself while they're standing on the roost.

You could also just do that with the ones that won't eat whatever food you're using to dose them with.
