Free ranging in muddy Spring conditions

This probably is due to the migratory Birds coming back in the spring........They can transfer disease to Chickens that free range....Deposited in poop and saliva......

Always a gamble raising Chickens.....Selling all mine and prefer Ducks.......

Cheers!

I have let my birds free range in the wet muddy season with no issues with diseases, and in fact range all year round unless below 0 degrees. Make sure they have dry places to go and get out of the mud! I've had more issues with hungry predators looking for an easy meal this time of year.
