Does anybody have any idea if it is possible to sex birchen marans chicks?

No, not by color as chicks that is. You'll have to wait for their silver saddle and wing feathers to come in. Pullets will be all black except for the silver hackle feathers.

Not by color or any other traits (other than vent sexing, which is done by experts).
