Cornish X can't use leg, please help

Ok so I have this young Cornish X chick that I rescued from the feed store yesterday, and it has its little leg kind of twisted to the side. Wondering if anyone can help? Any information is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Oh and I know a lot of people may say to just put her down, but I think she has a chance. I don't know how old she is though.
 
What do you mean when you say rescued it from the feed store? Is it walking around at all and just like this when it's sitting? Or is it not able to move around much at all? Eating? Drinking?
 
Leg issues are common in cornish x's. It's rare for these birds to live past 8 weeks because of how fast they grow and they always have heart and leg problems because of the rapid growth and their weight. Unfortunately for these birds it's actually inhumane to keep them alive and is best to cull them once they are at the right weight. I am sad to see people get cornish x's as pets when they were never intended to live long lives which is why they have so many health issues. If you want a chicken to be a pet you really should consider heritage breeds instead. They are the longest living birds when well cared for. Sadly the cornish x won't even see a year of age. It's almost unheard of even for small birds to make it that long with their poor health.
 
Thanks for replying seanengler, what I meant by rescuing is that she was in the medical bin at rural king, and a worker asked me if I would take some chicks that they can't do anything for, so I took it home. I've been looking at it and it doesn't look too bad (the leg) but yes, she's been eating and drinking and she moves when she gets too hot/cold, etc.. But when she walks she holds her left leg straight and twisted a bit to the left. And when she sleep she lays on her right side, which worries me because I'm not sure if it could cause her some respiratory issues :/ here's some pics (some may be a bit blurry, sorry)

Oh and it seems that the left leg (injured leg) is skinnier that the left, and the right "knee" (I think) is bigger, it's a bit hard to explain.
 
LadyVicorian, thanks. I have quite a few good tempered breeds, California grey being one of my favorites thanks to my beautiful roo, sailor. We just recently lost our young Orpington rooster whom we nicknamed "legs" (his real name was peaches). The hens have been cramped for a while and they just scalped him.. (We recently moved, so we're building a run for them but there's also hawks around) we lost two silkies to the Hawks when we first moved in. It sucked. So now we have more babies which is why I took this young Cornish in. (Sorry for the rambling, lol) but anyway, I've been reading and am prepared for the worst. Thank you though, for letting me know about the heritage breeds though :)
