Wyandottes, 20 birds, and a coop. Oh my!

awesome...enjoy the babies...they grow really really fast!

Okay here we go! Pictures (although we've made more progress since these were taken) and an Update! :D

It's currently raining cats, dogs, and guinea pigs out here on top of Keith being at work so no work's being done today. However the good news is is that we've got the walls completely framed out! We just need to get the floor framed so we can get some plywood and keep going. Keith's saying he wants to do a slant roof instead of an a-frame, I thought we were going with an a-frame. At this point I have no idea. I wanted to do an a-frame so that way I could put a weather vane on the top but I don't know if that's going to happen....

Either way we're doing really well and I'll soon (hopefully) have two windows to put in! We're salvaging the old run door from the coop we salvaged from someone and we have a nice solid barn door for the human entrance! :D

Here's more pictures! (You can also tell how much time's past because I got a haircut in between these photos)

Me showing off how big the walls of this giant are. Keith's being a butt so I stuck my tongue out at him.

Yes yes I wear my chicken boots proudly!

Finally another sunny day after all that snow and ice and yuck! Keith and I are putting up the walls thanks to the Sika Post fix! It's amazing I highly recommend it!

Here it is doing its thing. It's a liquid foam that you mix up and pour in right out of the bag. Here's the Video!

They say not to use it for Structural posts, however we haven't had any issues with it. We're planning on using it for our run as well!

Squinty selfie because it was really really sunny. (I love my overalls they're perfect for this. And yes I'm sitting on the cross post, that's how strong this is already).

More Sika! :D This stuff is a miracle of chemistry I'll tell ya.

And the wide shot! I'll grab a new picture of how far we've gotten so far when I can. Please note, this isn't a square project. We tried to make it that way but it didn't work...

Good job! I don't think i've ever built anything square, even when i built furniture in wood shop in high school. It just means you are that much better at figuring and cutting angles. ;)

HA! Either that or muscling 4x4s into place lol. It's not bad for not being square, my dad's probably making dust in his urn though every time we're working on it!
