Tractor supply ASIAN chicks

I bought them from TSC, no clue on heritage or anything. The box was marked Asian chicks. Some are solid black but a few have white tips.
Mine looked just like that, except one who had and now has more of a reddish coloring on her face.
The mostly black (and the ones with white tips, or white tips and chest down) have now all got varying degrees of the red brown. Most have it either fully in the chest, some also in the hackles. A couple have it in (pardon my poor wording) feather highlights--I mean some feathers are both black and also reddish.
On the other hand, 3 that I got that I presumed (if the chicks were even marked and separated correctly) to be male: 2 have turned out male with (@junebuggena s term) "atypical barring". The other that was suspected to be male and who looked exactly like the 2 actual males has turned out to be a BR pullet.
My conclusion?
I'm glad I got them.
They were not all labeled correctly.
They are sweet tempered, pretty and friendly birds.
I am still unsure (except for the surprise BR pullet) what all I have.

I was told this one was a roo when I posted their pics here at 5 to 6 weeks old. At 10 weeks old, I am hoping the roos are actually hens because I have none that look barred rock. Any idea regarding this one's gender?
First off, plz understand that I am a novice so my opinions are only the opinions of someone who also has chicks that were listed as "asian" and NOT the opinions of an expert with experience.
That said, the ones I have that are 6 weeks old (approx) by this time the supposed males have clearly distinguished themselves with a very different look. The now-obvious pullet (who is a BR) and the 2 barred males (who had white spots on top of their heads and now have the comb definition and color of males) all are barred. The other females--look like yours just younger--do not have any barring and do have red in their feathers.
It appears to me--IF we bought chicks of the same genetic mixes--that yours are pullets.
I can be wrong. I was reluctant to reply. But I notice that I'm also scouring these pages looking for any info so I thought it only fair to offer some.

Honestly, I think yeye5 got leftover straight run barred Rocks mixed in with either BSLs or "Asians". The combining of bins causes all sorts of problems. I literally have seen an assortment of signs on the floor around the bins and then the ones actually on the bins didn't match the chicks. That was enough to convince me that you aren't likely to know exactly what you get.
