uropygial gland problem

My silkie sadly needed a bath to day. Well I was blow drying him after I discovered that there was something wrong with his Preening Gland. My rooster is only a year old. Anyone ever encounter this on their chickens? What is wrong with it and what can I do to help him?

Can you take him to a vet?

It looks like it may be infected or impacted, so your vet may need to give you antibiotics to help clear it up

x2 Just from vet experience on other animals, that screams infection.
