Ibc tote chicken coop

There's a tap on each bottom of the totes to exit water. There where we bolted them together we placed a rubber band to prevent water from coming in. We'll have to wait and see how that is going.

Sure, I can remove some nests.

They all sleep on the floor, so I don't think I will add one.

Cool.......Best of cLuck with it!
Please do update here as you add stuff and how it all works out.

We've made the doors yesterday and moved them when they were sleeping. Still need to create the roof but we have some time since summer is still some time away.

hi there sarah, I'm going to install one to for my broodies (4 silkies). am using a 600L IBC container. and live in Belgium too;)

question, did you put roosts in there?
and did you have any troubles with rain coming in through the large openings?
I can imagine if the wood chips start to rot it isn't healthy for the chickens lungs.
