We just moved our 4 week old chicks to their coop (no other chickens in it). Nights are still cold here (in the 20s) so we put their heat plate under a huddle box inside the coop. For the past 2 nights, I've had to physically move them under it after I find them huddled together in one of the nesting boxes. They are still in the huddle box in the morning, so I think they are staying there once I move them. Should I keep moving them or let them sleep where they want? It's going to be 22 tonight so I'm just worried they will be too cold. Breeds are marans, orpingtons, wyandotte, leghorn, easter eggers, barred rock and RIR (if that matters).
