racoons vs chicken wire on flat wall?

we have no dogs, i love the idea of suspending the roosts, great idea i will use that. I do plan on enclosing the window as well as the isle side and between the stalls where the bars are between the horses/chickens. we actually dont have owls believe it or not, just burrowing owls and they couldnt take out a chicken even if they wanted to. We do however have hawks that patrol during the day, it will be our greatest predator during daylight hours. Also the horses and cows have free reign and much of the time they sleep in the aisle, especially when its raining so that alone will help keep predators at bay. thanks so much for your insight.
 
I too have horses and cattle, and they don't worry about small predators who love chicken. Hardware cloth is best, well secured. You will need a dig-proof foundation too. This stall will make a nice coop, but predator proof it first! Mary

You have Great-horned Owls. I doubt your version of the Red-tailed or Feruginous Hawk will come into barn but could be a problem when birds out side. Your Coopers Hawk may prove more problematic with hen-only flock or where chickens are small. I have Coopers come into my barn a lot and they are now problem so long as rooster can get at them,
