Some things bout me, i am getting my first chick in April

And i really want to name her Sprite, but haven't decided yet...........i love Aurora too. My favorite breed is the porcelain d'uccles, and i love coffee and BYC.

I am going to use the Mama heating pad with my chick, instead of a heating lamp so she can sleep, and actually she will stay at my friends house cuz i'm not allowed to have chicks where i live

But she'll be with other chicks.

I think i want to name it Sprite, but there are a lot of great names out there

That's really exciting, you must post pics of her as soon as she arrives

And good choice on the heating pad. I got my coop set up with a heating pad, but then the breeder took so long to deliver my chicks that they were 2 weeks old when the arrived and so used to a heat lamp that they struggled to adjust to regulating their own body temperature. It took me 8 days to retrain them all to use the heating pad. It's definitely much healthier for them and so much safer and more natural than a lamp. And Sprite is a very cute name.
