I'm not sure if I've picked the right spot to post this, but please correct me if it doesn't belong here. I went to a nearby Dollar Tree store this past weekend to see if I could get any ideas for things to use with my chickens or in my coop. In the section with the hanging kitchen utensils I found this little jewel. Since I bought a previously used coop, there is caked on chicken poop that had to be scraped off in places. This little tool I got for $1.00 works GREAT for scraping it off! It fits very comfortably in the hand and scraped off the nasty stuff with very little effort! The very worst area was the ramp leading up to the coop. The ramp is 5' long and was absolutely caked with poop. It took me a total of about five minutes to scrape off the entire thing! Just thought I'd share in case anyone needs a frugal (aka cheap!) tool for their scraping needs.

I use mine for cutting pastries. :/
All the time I have squandered using it in the kitchen!

Great idea!! I should buy another.... AND keep it in the coop!

I have one, but I used mine for making cookies. :). It's a great idea if you can't find a paint scraper laying around. I'm new to the chicken business. I'm waiting on my first order of hatchlings to arrive in the mail. I'm getting ideas for converting our shed to a chicken house. Getting more excited by the minute. Looking forward to all the ideas here.
