Something is eating the insulation in my duck coop?

I just pulled out an old sleeping bag i used for insulation around the duck coop and i found a bunch of major tears/holes in it... Whatever did this. Got aweful close to getting inside the coop.

Any ideas to what could have done this? Do chipmunks or squirrels do this? Or should i be worried about something larger? The ducks are fine.

Yep, could be mice or rats. They are notorious for stealing materials from anywhere they can to use in nest building.I once left my thick farm winter coat in the greenhouse in the winter for a week and when I moved it there was a chunk missing from the elbow. I still wear it but you can see how resourceful they will get.

Ditto mice/rats.......look for droppings.

Insulation is usually waste of time/money, unnecessary, and is an excellent place for rodents and other pests to habituate.
Chickens, and maybe ducks, will eat it too if they can get at it.
