Story 1: Reaper and Human
She cried out “Esau, you know it’s wrong.”
And he knew it was wrong, but what did that matter? It felt right to him, it satisfied his thirst, his lust for blood. He felt the fangs cut his mouth as they grew, tantalized by her blood. He flew in softly, like an angel would, but not with the intention to grow and heal, but to demolish and hurt. He landed in from of her, and whispered softly, “Don’t worry.”
She was now in tears, and demanded “What are you going to do?!”
He didn’t answer, but his eyes betrayed him, his real intention. He softly placed his hand on her neck, uttered some words, and before she could scream again, she fell limp. But a Reaper controls Death, and he had an affection for her, he always had. He gave her back her soul, but now poisoned with the stench of death, which made her all the more beautiful for him. And then she awoke, a new Reaper, a new claimer of lives.
Story 2: Fallen Angel
Oh, how he hated it, how he hated the obnoxious reminder that he had fallen to Death, Oh, how Death wanted him completely, he wanted to control him. Death whispered in his ear, it wouldn’t leave him alone. And he knew he had fallen, he knew he had sinned, he had killed. He had feasted on his own friend’s blood when he tried to help him, he deserved to die. Death now roared in his head, demanding he surrender completely. He resisted, he resisted all he could, but it was too late. He had begun resisting too late, and Death had planted his seed in his head. With a flash of red he fell to the ground, and when he would stand once again, it would not be his brain controlling his actions.
Death has always been there, slowly eating the human lives over time. However, with the beauty of life, the human race has continued on Earth. There’s been a change for the worse. In the year 2041, a massive attack came from above- rather, from below. The Reapers, bloodthirsty demons who sought only to kill, flood the Earth, killing billions, especially in poorly-protected areas. With every soul they devoured, they became stronger. And more hungry. There seemed no hope when the Fallen Angels came, handsome, beautiful, but no less deadly than the Reapers. They were wrecthed angels, come to seek human blood and flesh. Soon, the entire world was wiped out, save the city of Seattle, where millions of survivors came to fight, and whn it seemed that their situation couldn’t get any better, it did. The Guardians, angels of the Light, descended from above to save the poor humans, and now, we cut to present day. Seattle is bursting with nervous people, protected by the Guardians, while the Reapers and Fallen plotting to destroy it.
Species/ characters:
Guardians: Essentially angels, who are devoted to protecting the world. Their touch heals, and the most powerful can even resurrect others. They have eagle wings, and usually wear robes, while some have settled for the human clothing. Not too hard to explain.
Fallen: Guardians who have fallen over the edge. This happens if they jump off the edge of their realm, into the Underworld below, where they get converted. This is usually forced by temptations by Death, or bad tendencies they have picked up, such as pride or envy. When they get transformed, they experience the burning sensation of Death entering them. When Fallen Angels, their splendid robes become ragged, and they acquire fangs, that spring forth and become larger at the sight of blood or when they thirst. Sometimes, their wings change from that of an eagle into another creature’s wings.Of course, they are tempted to kill almost always. Death will eventually try to fully claim them for himself, in a series of extreme temptations. These almost always claim the angels fully, except if the angel clings on to an emotion of some sort: love, anger, hate, etc.
Returned: These are Fallen Angels that have endured the temptations of Death. They are returned to their state of Guardian in a splendid light. They return to normal Guardians, and are usually much more powerful. They cannot return to being a Fallen Angel ever again, and Death usually stops pestering them.
Humans: Survivors of the apocalypse, who now reside in Seattle. Some live completely normal lives. They can be turned into Reaper if the Reaper takes their soul, then returns it with the stain of Death on it.
Reapers: Reapers are beings who levitate, and many don’t know what they are or look like. Reapers are beinsg that look humans, but their bodies are made out of an aura, similar to a mist. The aura usually creates a sense of darkness around them, and is chilly to the people around them. Their touch kills, and with their victims’ souls, they become stronger. A Reaper simply has to touch a dead person’s corpse in order to take their soul. They don’t only do this with humans, but also with animals and plants if necessary. The Reapers can also put back that same soul, then stained with death, to convert that dead human into a Reaper, which is usually only done for romantic purposes.
