hello
I've got two female ducks and one is a kaki campbell and one is a pekin and a few weeks ago i put a drake in with them which is a kaki campbell and now I've just noticed the female kaki campbell wing feathers are missing and have been plucked out and i was wondering if it would have been the drake but why did he only do it to one female and does this mean he wants to mate with her?
cheers

It sounds as though he has already been mating with her...The wing feathers get worn when the Drake treads on her back...Do you have a kiddie pool for them? It makes breeding easier on the Hens...Ducks breed better in water...:)
He really like that one Hen..She must be a real flirt ...;)

Cheers!

thank you but I'm just not sure it has him i haven't seen him do anything with her but just yesterday i noticed her wings were basically just down to bone and this has never happened to her before so would it definitely be the male doing it too her
thank you cheers

@Just Hatch duck can you post some pics of what your seeing on your ducks wings. I really don't think the drake would get her feathers pulled out down to the bone.
