One of our baby chicks chirps loudly and cries when ever she takes a poop. She doesn't have pasty butt, we've given her probiotics in her water, and they have sand/grit available. They are all about 3 weeks old now and she's been having trouble pooping since week one. The rest of the flock has no pain or problems when pooping and there poop doesn't seem as hard as the one who cries in pain.

We can't figure out what to do to help her, any ideals??

Welcome to BYC. What are you using for grit? They don't usually need grit until they are eating grass, bugs, and foods other than chick starter. If you are using sand for grit, I would stop that. Chick grit is what they need. You could try giving her a few drops of molasses which can act as a laxative. Some chicks can get dehydrated from not drinking enough water or the heat being too warm in the brooder. Some eat pine shavings. So I would look at these things to see what the problem might be.

Thanks for the feedback! Well go to TSC and get some chick grit tomorrow for them, we've been using some grit sand that's made for like parrots. We started them on the sands because we do give them meal worms as a snack. We moved their light up and we're going to give it some yogurt tonight, we've also put some preparation H on its butt. We're hoping for the best!
