Feather eaters I found that the pheasants are lacking protein in thier diet. During egg laying, The pheasants need more protein to ensure that thier eggs have enough energy for the chicks to hatch. I found that feeding the hens a 28% protein feed during egg laying produced a better hatch rate with chicks. Almost 30% better hatch rate from the 22% feed that I was giving them at the time. Price for the feed is higher but you will get more chicks hatching.
