Many of you might have seen this video all over the net.

I think from reading that it went viral on twitter.

Anyways where in the U.S.A. can I get some chicken like that? And what do you think the coop space would be needed per bird.

I don't really want to chance that one may grow that big. I want to know that they will when I purchase them.

So any thoughts?

Scott

I have a brahma pullet coming to me end of April. Talked to a breeder and she said they can get up to 10lb's. That is the size of my small dog. Getting super excited to watch her grow up when she gets here and might get a dark brahma from a local breeder too.

Yes, they are cool. Thats the difference between hatchery stock and Heritage breeding. It's the American Poultry Assoc. And livestock conservancy website you can search your area for heritage or "heirloom" breeds. They set the breed standard. I've got 2 people close to me..Hoping to get some to go with my girl

They are very interesting but, that bird may have come out of small pop door - to make him look so huge. I would imagine many times the hype is a lot bigger than the birds.
I would hope aside from breeding for huge size, they are also keeping the docility of the breed.
