May Hatch-a-long! ~ 6th Annual Cinco de Mayo Hatch-a-long! ~

Pics
Well after this forum move, I will try to give an update on mine. I have 2 survivors from those 5 eggs.. One black Australorp, one Blue Australorp. I'm thinking that the Black one is a pullet, as the wing tips coming in are rounded. The Blue one is growing slower, but it was the last one that hatched.

Well since most of hatching happened during the move. Most didn't hatch on the 5th.

I have 40 new Turkey poults in the broader. Pheasant and Turkey on lockdown.

Was gonna post pics but never got ant taken yet.

I haven't been on since the move and realized last night the app is still a little wonky or I just need to figure it out since the change. Anyway, here is an update on my hatch. First, chick hatched on the morning of May 9th. Things got crowded in the nesting box so we had to move her to a better location. At that time she had 6 hatched and 2 pipped. After the move 2 more hatched and then she decided she didn't want to sit any more. When I saw her off the nest, I looked and there were still 6 unhatched eggs, 2 of which were pipped. All were cold to the touch (5/12). I ran them into the house and put them into the incubator with my eggs that are due later this week. The 1 that was pipped and 1 that wasn't hatched that night and then the next day 2 more hatched. So my broody, has a total of 12 babies. 7 are Leghorn silkie mixes, 1 is blue cochin silkie, 2 are turken silkie, and 2 are still a bit of a mystery. They could be either Golden comet, partridge brahma, light brahma, or blue cochin.
