I have a Marans chick that hatched yesterday. 2 of her toes are fused together. I've read that this is more common with feather legged chickens. She's a little wobbly, but she does walk and can get around the brooder. What's her prognosis if I don't do anything? I'm not 100% comfortable doing the surgery some people recommend, but I don't want to leave it alone if it will completely debilitate her. Anyone have an adult living successfully with this condition? This chicken is a pet only and will not be used for breeding.
