I am thinking about incubating some goose eggs, but I am not sure if my incubator will hold them. I have two brinsea mini advance incubators and will hold up to 7 eggs, but after looking at the size of the eggs, it may only hold three. I also do not think that I will be able to use the automatic turner. What do y'all think? Here is a picture of one of the eggs: Note*- my hands are quite large.

Thanks for the reply. The link was really helpful, but I still have a few questions. What temperature should I incubate them at (99.5 as usual)? I will be at school most of the day (7.5 hours), so will I still be able to turn them 3-5 times a day still?

It's said that geese do a little better at a slightly lower temp of 99.1, but I do mine at 99.5 with other species and that works fine as well.

The hand turning thing might be a problem. Just try to make sure you turn them as much as possible, and try to leave them for the longest time on a different side each day.

Thanks, I plan on beginning incubation this Saturday.
 
Okay, I have what I think is good news. Tomorrow, I will be borrowing a hovabator incubator to hatch turkey eggs. I have 30 turkey eggs, and extra room in the incubator. I was wondering if the goose eggs would be able to fit in the regular egg trays, or it I will still need to hand turn them. The turkey eggs are quite large, and the goose eggs may just be a little bigger, so to you think that I can use the tray for them, or will I still need to hand turn them?

What kind of tray is it? Is it the new kind that turns them while they're on their side? If so you can try it and see if it works for them. If it's the kind that stands them up on end I wouldn't use it, goose eggs don't do well upright in my experience.
 
It's the kind where they're upright. If it's that big of a deal, I'll just hand turn them.
