Plz help! My Quail have prob.

Ok they r about a week old today and I'm loading them one by one , I just switched them to meditated starter feed and electrolytes, and I seen a vary little red in stool so I suspected cocci. But the ones that are dieing look healthy. I have only lost them at night and they r inside under a heat light and have room to get away from it, my temp looks to be about 98- 100, but as I said they can get away, could they be dehydrating in there sleep under light.

How many have died? A couple from a batch that size is completely normal, a few more if there were trouble during the hatch.
What were you feeding them before the medicated starter feed and how much protein is in the medicated feed? In general people don't recommend feeding medicated feed to quail unless they actually have coccidiosis and as far as I know coccidiosis isn't transferred into the egg so they would need to have been infected by you or their environment - which could be likely or unlikely depending on what other birds are/have been around.

I will check feed when I get home, 2 have died,how much protein do they need so I know when I check
 
I seen they need 24% and my feed is 18% could that be the reason y, I also building a bigger brooder to give them more room
 
Dave, what you have them in, looks plenty big for the amount of birds you have in there. Chicks, should have 24% feed until they are about 4-5 weeks, then you can switch them to a 20% feed. The two things I would recommend, is going to a red heat lamp, personally I've had better luck, not that the white doesn't put out enough heat, it has more to do with pecking... Second, I can't see it really good, but the waterer you have in there looks, like the kind with the wider curved pool, where they drink from. If it is, you need to have marbles or something in there, so they don't drown. They do sell ones that are thinner at the base, for smaller birds. I'm sorry you lost a few birds, but it wouldn't be uncommon to lose a few early on. Just keep an eye, and that's all you can really do at this point.
 
Medicated food won't cure Coccidiostat - it can only prevent it. You need medication if that's what you think it is. Coccidiostat cannot survive in a dry environment so if you are keeping your pen as clean and dry as possible (and it looks very clean and tidy) then I doubt it's Coccidiostat. Sometimes their poop looks pretty redish/brownish. Do you see them drinking as sometimes they don't find the water by themselves? You have to show them where it is by tapping the water surface. They generally copy each other so you only have to teach a few. As Diesel81 said, it is common to lose a few in that first week.
 
I try to keep it clean as possible I clean 1 or 2 times a day just got the right feed and got them on electrolytes. They seam healthy but as I said the ones that died seamed healthy to, what r some other sines of cocci so I can keep a closer eye on them
 
If they aren't eating, being lethargic, pale skin, diarrhea, blood in stool are some of the symptoms.
