I've recently acquired an Easter Egger with a few other chicks. They were all supposed to be sexed pullets when we got them. This one, Independence, was a few weeks old already when she got to my house. We started calling her Teresasaurus Rex, because she was so big and gangly.
Right now, I'd guess "she" is about 10-11 weeks old. As of Sunday, I've noticed a weird sound coming from the little girls' coop... Yesterday, I realized it was potentially a rooster crow.... Coming from Independence.
I've talked to some locals and a few are still convinced she's just hencrowing. I'm starting to lean towards... She is actually Tomosaurus Rex.. Not a Teresa.
