We hatched one single Pekin duck last week. Today when I was handling him I noticed his butt looks like this.
It hasn't looked like this before,
Normal?
Just a boy?
A prolapse?
It's eating, drinking and pooping fine
If something is wrong what do I do?
Thanks, we are quite attached to it already

I am a newbie. Had chickens 22 years ago for a year. Extent of my experience. Looks like a prolapsed vent. Treatment I know of was to use petroleum jelly, rub it on the vent, and then carefully push the vent back inside.

The pictures do look like prolapse but everything I am finding are showing big ducks it just turned a week yesterday. That's why I am confused.

Yeah same here, just about everything prolapse had to do with adults who were laying and mating and the whole shebang.

I agree with Duck Poop. Petroleum jelly to keep it soft. Also I read from Miss Lydia's post about prolapse from some other post that warm soaks in Epsom salt will help. Warm soaks in epsom salt seem to be helpful to reduce swelling and pain.

Okay so now really confused. When my husband got home we got everything ready to put it back in and when we flipped it over it was already back in
Well that is good to know. What are you feeding your duckling? Does it's poo look normal? Well as normal as duck poop can look. @weirdones
