First, Questions:
•Anyone know of a Chain Link 10 X 10 Dog Kennel for $120 or lower on Amazon or Ebay?
•Will a 10 X 10 fit a D'Uccle, A Silkie, a GLW, a SS, a EE And a breed I'm not sure of yet?
•Is the dog run/Ouse a good idea for a coop?

So, question is:
Should I build a coop with a dog house and chain link kennel?
And does anyone know of anything for question #1?

TIA!

I would not be mixing bantam with standards, especially silkies and Wyandotte in a smaller set up. I would choose either the bantam or the standard. Smaller set ups can work for the right birds. Generally standard breeds will require more exercise, and a bigger area, or else you could end up with behavioral problems.

Chain link can work but it can also allow predators to reach in and grab birds, as well as things can dig under them.

Since you haven't listed where you are located I can only add that in colder climates a dog house won't work. In warmer climates it will be too hot, and I don't think birds will want to roost in one.

I have always had bantams and large fowl together and they are fine.Ive had bantam EE's, Assorted bantams and a couple others and a couple SLW's so.
I'm in ME
I would Predador proof it by laying down a few layers of wire mesh on the ground.
Ok if not that does anyone have any ideas for cheap coop kits?I can't spend more then $230 all together for personal reasons.Plus the shipping for my chicks would be $35 so.....

Just a add in, my friend uses a large dog house for her coop, and she lives a bit away from me and it works perfect for her....

I just gave some recommendations and my experiences, especially with silkies. If you think it will work than do it. I also think the bigger the set up the better it is for the birds. There's all kinds and sizes of coop ideas on the coop pages which can be found on the homepage I believe.

I was just telling you my experiences.

Look, I'm not asking for coop to build ideas, as I cannot spend $600 dollars to build a scratch coop.
All I was asking is a simple question.
Is that if its a good idea.

Thanks anyway.

You can build this for $200

400

I don't know of a site. I built it myself, I can upload more pictures if you would like to see them. Here is a link to a YouTube video that may help you.
