@ForDucksSake we need a better pics. Tell us exactly what is going on poor thing, this is the most ridiculous thing that the kid just comes on your property and injures your ducklings?

Did you catch him?I'd keep your ducks where he has no opportunity to get to them.

How long do ducks normally live is it 15 years? They look adorable and nice now that feathers are growing in and you should try and catch him when he tries to take the duckling

Some breeds can probably live that long, I had a Muscovy drake live 1 month shy of 12 yrs.

husband forgot to put padlock on after he cleaned it out and I got home to see the door cracked open and walk in to catch him grabbing a board out of their coop. awearinf it fell from outer space really because it didn't come from my coop I would know if it did. and for starters even if OT did come from inside my coop why was HE INSIDE MY COOP??! alarms are being installed. child is getting cited for trespassing and breaking an entering (HE ISN'T EVEN A TEENAGER YET AND HAS DONE THIS SO MANY TIMES AND NOT JUST TO ME THAT HE IS GETTING A JUVENILE CRIMINAL RECORD BBUILT UP SOOOO YOUNG!) his parents are getting child neglect since he shouldn't be able to get from their house. quite a bit down the road since we live in country to my house and have enough time to cause damage to my property is child neglect and abandonment. kid is one more complaint to the law away from getting sent to a juvenile home. he needs prayers.

Poor kid he really does need prayer. . But you have every right to protect your property and those living on it. so sad.

As for your duckling I'd do some Epsom salt compresses and water therapy as long as there aren't any broken bones I am sure you have checked that out by now..That's about all you can do and rest.Unless a vet is feasible.

ES compresses take half cup ES put into a bowl of nice warm water mix well then take a soft wash cloth soak and wring till not dripping then wrap the leg and hold till starting to cool you can do this as often as you want ES salt helps with swelling and inflammation.

I'm not sure when things changed; but, parents to blame the injured party, not their precious baby.

That kid needs a serious wake up call, before he spends his entire life doing nothing good, all the while harming others. Terrible he is hurting innocent animals!
