Should I get Buff Orpington Chickens as pets?

I have wanted to raise chickens for the longest time and don't know what type of breed I should get. I first wanted Speckled Sussex but now I want to get Buff Orpington. Which one should I get????

thank you. I have heard about them a lot. I heard that they lay very colorful eggs! wish you many!
 
Here's the thing about breeds...if you ask 10 people what you should get, you'll get 10 different answers

I've had SS and BA and of those 2, I would only have the Sussex again (loved them), did not like the BA. I've never had the Buffs but they seem to be a BYC favorite.

Read over the breed reviews and do some homework on the ones you are especially interested in. What's perfect for someone else may not be right for you.

So true. before I was a member and would just look I noticed you guys didn't stay on one breed. You would go to different breeds! But I always found out what I needed.

I bet no matter what you end up with, you'll be very pleased. And of course, somewhere along the line you'll be day dreaming of other breeds you'd like to have too, lol.
