Hello we are looking for some Easter Eggers in the Houston area, we are in Magnolia, please let us know if anyone have any.

Thank you.

Check with Livengood Feed in Tomball or Spring Creek Feed on 2978 they have both been getting different breeds in each week.

Welcome - also from Magnolia!

Hi neighbor!, we were at Spring Creeck today and picked 2 Buff Orp, 2 Barred Rock, and 4 Production reds, all they had. we will check the other places you recommended, thank you so much!.

Thank you so much for the recommendation, Livengood had some Americaunas, picked up 3 this morning.

Thank you again.

I go to those feed stores a lot. It is hard to get out without fawning over the chicks that have come in for the week. Spring Creek's come from Privett hatchery in NM and Livengoods are from Ideal. The TS stores all get eat birds or sex links. Rare to see fancy feathers there.

Mine are now 7 weeks old and I moved them outside yesterday. They figured out the roost and nipple waterers and hanging no-waste feeder and were dust bathing happily today.

The Spring Creeck feed store is killing me, they have such great little chicks. we were only supposed to get 6, we now have 14 ;(, did I mentioned we can't have chickens in out subdivision . We picked up 4 Production red, 2 Buff orpington, 2 Barred Rock, 2 Maran , 1 Barnevelder, and 2 Ameraucanas. we are addicted. We are so happy with those choices.

We now need a bigger new coop.

How many do you have and what Breed?.

I have 12. Mixed flock of 2 EE, BLRW, AO, BO, BB- 3 year olds and JG, GLW, LB, DB, WEL & BDV 8 week olds. I started out with hatching eggs from a Wyandotte breeder. I hatched about 1/3 and they were all really nice - 2 were cockerels which went to freezer camp when they started crowing, lost 1 to illness, 1 to predator and 1 to accident. The GLW from Ideal looks nothing like the ones I hatched.

I have a horse barn and use one of the stalls as a coop. I put 2 chain link kennels in which separate the space and add a layer of predator protection and put transparent PVC over the top. I would like to go back in and re-do with framing and hardware cloth to fit the stall better and add space and keep rodents out.

Several of my neighbors also have illicit chickens. You can't see them and can only occasionally hear them over the din of leaf blowers, lawn mowers and jet skis. ;-)

The new bill that passed last week, which will hopefully pass in the house of representative soon, will solve the "not being allowed to have them" for you soon!

Stay under the radar til then...
