Hi all!
Its been a while since i have posted but been pretty busy. We got a new house! 5 acres out in Buckley Wa and it is a dream come true! It's 3 bedroom,hardwood floors throughout, huge master bedroom with a large tub and a walk in closet. The property is outstanding! It has a fantastic view of Mt. Rainier, a pond with critters (love amphibians) and it is partially forested with deer,elk, and birds galore! Yesterday morning I went outside, I have never heard so many varieties of birds singing away.
Speaking of birds the chickens are loving it too. Their new pen is three times the size of the old one. Yet they still hang out at the gate wanting to be let out. Then when you do let them out all they want to do is hang out by the house and poop on the deck. Come on you have 5 acres to explore! If im outside they will go off and wonder but once I go back inside they are waiting for me by the door.
Got some more chicks, why not I have the room
Got buff orps, speckled sussex and even some cornish rock. Never raised meat chickens figured I would give it a go.
