I think my chickens were sun bathing today when i took them out (yes i was herding them like sheep). she layed down and stuck out here wing. then the others started to do it too. so do chickens sunbathe

Yes they do----they are really happy if they can dust bath and sun bath at the same time.

Hello All,
I am BRAND SPANKIN NEW to this site and am totally loving it. We have three 7 week old Polish pullets - raised them from 5 days old. We still have them in the house and are planning to put them outside in a week or two. Still getting the yard ready and secure for them. HOWEVER, I think they are loving living in our sunroom!!! I let them out today when I got home from work - immediately they all found a sunny spot on the rug and plopped down on their sides and stuck their legs out!!! I LOVE IT! They like to lay together too - even in the sun.
