pvc feeder question

Yes, it is a 4 inch, I'm not sure how much it holds but it's a lot, I only have to fill it about once every 2 to 3 weeks. ( I only have 3 chickens ) I also have a water bowl but they completely stop drinking out of it, I am thinking about taking it out.

Here is my sit-up, I can fill mine without going into the coop.

Not to hijack the thread but how do you keep this from freezing in the winter? I would.love to have something similar but with my cold winters it would freeze and burst I'm afraid.

I Live in South Carolina and so far it hasn't gotten that cold yet.

It will. I just got everything set-up where if we are going to get a couple nights below freezing----I just drain all water lines and use backup pans for a day or two. One time it was only suppose to get to 30 so I left the water lines alone---it got lower that night and I had to redo 12 water spigots So if its going to be close freezing I drain all lines---they at set up to where I only have to turn on a drain valve. I use a simple/easy/home-made tap to thread the sch 40 pvc and screw in drain valves.
