I'm looking to re-home two hens. One is a barred rock and the other is a RIR, both a little over a year old. They were hand-raised with lots of love, and are incredibly friendly, gentle, and spoiled. Their sweet demeanor makes them great for kids. I've attached some pictures below, please reply if you are interested.

The RIR lays an egg every day with amazing consistency. She's so docile that she squats all the way down lets you pick her up for as long as you want. The BR is unfortunately an internal layer and I cannot offer much more than her great personality (sassy but soft) and super fluffy feathers. She is, however, quite large and meaty. If you want her for food, I just ask that you wait until she naturally dies of her internal laying.

internal layer is when the yolk somehow goes in the stomach and they can't lay like a normal chicken It is painful for the chicken and usually they die from it . You can have it operated on and it can be fixed . I also read that sometimes a chicken can live a somewhat normal life with this problem but it is rare. Some chickens can actually absorb the yolk but it just sounds horrible and painful to me. I looked it up hope I understood it correctly. feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
