Hello Everyone!

Thread Starter
Hello, so this is our first year with birds and we jumpes in full force! We have 19 chickens (some I will need help sexing here soon) and 15 ducks. One of our newest ducks has curled toes and this site helped me with ideas on how to help make it better! Hopefully we will have a full recovery!
Any advice for a newbie is welcomed as we just moved our first set of birds outside 2 days ago!!
Thanks in Advance

Greetings from Kansas, bgrover08, and :welcome!   Great to have you in our community!  My best advice is to read-read-read in the Learning Center - it will answer a lot of questions you now have or will eventually have:  http://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center

And if you'd like to chat with some fellow MA poultry folks, find your state thread in the link below and say howdy:  http://www.backyardchickens.com/t/270925/find-your-states-thread

Best wishes and thanks for joining BYC!!  :woot

G’Day from down under bgrover08 :frow  Welcome!

When the time comes for sexing your chickens, this is a link to the Breed & Gender Forum where you will get expert opinions: http://www.backyardchickens.com/f/15/what-breed-or-gender-is-this

Good luck!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member.  There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place.  BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)
