Thank you.Enjoy your trip!!.She is only seperated by a wire fence from rest of flock so i think she will be ok.I have to gone all day tomorrow so will wait until Sat to put her back in.Take care

Not much happening since Wed.Everyone seems good even one that was also sick.Vet called me yesterday asked how i was doing have never done that before. It still makes me wonder how she could have died less than 15 min after having a shot of Baytrill.I will never know. The other one that was also sick has not laid an egg in about 2 weeks. Is that normal? How long is the egg withdrawl on tylan powder? Thanks to everyone!!

My brother in law has 7 to 8 week old chicks they are outside in their coop and he is feeding them tomatoes and other veggies.Should he be giving them some grit too?

Grit is one of those things I categorize as better to have and not need than to need and not have. It is so inexpensive there is no reason, to me, not to provide appropriate sized grit at all life stages. While it is not needed for the digestion of certain foods, there is great information on its importance in the development of the digestive system in preparation of when the diet changes. I'm mobile so digging up the link is challenging but @3riverschick has posted great information on it

all my hens are back together and appear to be doing well.We have had 9 days of rain here in upstate ny thought i would need to build an arc. Finally a dry day.Have not been giving the girls much attention lately will try today.Hopefully a little sun

I have another hen that appears to be doing the same thing as the one that died. Her butt is all pasty , walking slow and when she sits she sticks her butt in the air.Gave her soak in warm water and epsom salts. I could bring her in to the house and give her a dose of tylan. What is the egg withdrawl after the tylan. I have no way of keeping her seperate after she went back out
