"Spray" for bugs

We use this on our horses, have for years.

I'm just noticing that it contains PERMETHRIN

Is this the same p word that everyone uses to treat lice?

I have not been blessed with these critters yet, just thinking for the future..the if and when.

Yes, it is the same as commonly recommended for lice and mites. Permethrin is a synthetic pyrethrin, pyrethrins are derived from a flower related to chrsanthemums and are accepted as organic, but Permethrin is not considered organic (I think that's right). Anyway, it is far stronger and more toxic, so be careful not to use more than is safe. Applied to the bugs, it kills most anything, applied to other living things may be safe, or not, so follow manufacturer recommendations.
