My very first egg!

It can seem like it takes forever for them to start laying. The last of my 3 pullets that I added (I have 6 layers counting them) just started laying a few days ago. It took them almost 6 months. Now I have an over abundance of eggs. It's great. You never place any sort of value on an egg, till you have your own chickens... Then they are a HUGE deal. LOL Here's what I've got over the last few days.

 
Wowzi Adstowe! Those are some colorful eggs. I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait. So happy. I got one more this morning. Yeah! I should be getting blue, green, pink, off-white, and then the brown ones that I'm getting now and I'm not sure what other colors they'll be. I'll be happy with any of them. The first one had two yolks in it.
 
I like having a mixture of egg colors. I used to have all easter eggers and I thought the greenish eggs were great looking, but I really think they look so much better when they are mixed in with other colors. You kind of lose some of the charm if they're all one color.
