I've come here many times to check out information, lurk and look at other peoples chickens, find advice, etc., but finally decided I should post up!

My wife and I have raised urban chickens now since 2007, we started out with a small flock of 3 "second hand" hens from my Aunt to see how we liked it. All three of the hens were 3 years old, my aunt said they probably wouldn't lay much but would be a great way to start out. We instantly fell in love and got two more the next year; we were only technically supposed to have 4 within city limits due to noise, but we felt 5 was probably going to be okay, and didn't want to just introduce one chicken into the flock. Of our 3 original chickens, we still actually have 1 of them left...I'll let that sink in for a second...yes, we have 1 of our original chickens left, and she is now 13 years old! One of the other ones actually just kicked the bucket a couple months ago after battling a yeast infection and having another issue (I could describe it, but my wife is the one that knows what it's called lol), and the 3rd one we lost last year...crazy how long they lived for, they definitely were well loved!

Long story short, we have fast forwarded to a new house, still under the same chicken "rules", but have essentially disregarded that since we know we can get away with it hehe.

When we moved to our new house we got up to 10 chickens, but have since lost half of our population due to old age, and are now increasing our flock again. I took a bunch of pictures of the new chicks (10 of which are 6 weeks, 2 of them are 4 weeks.). We know we have 1 rooster, but we don't know which one he is (we've heard him crow, but can't catch him in the act yet); I have my suspicions, but I'll let you guys look and see what you think. I'm sure we have more than 1, we are just positive we have at least 1 so far.
We have 5 hens, none pictured:
1 Black sex link
1 Golden Laced Wynadot
1 Golden (We think) Americauna
1 Brahma
1 Brahma/Americauna/Cochin (unsure)

The list of chicks:
5 Black Copper marans
2 Easter Eggers
2 Olive Eggers
3 Crested Swedish Flowers
The pictures of the chicks go from top to bottom, week 1 to tonight (week 6).

I also just built a new coop to house our new hens, but I'm going to throw that in another thread since it's a start to finish and bunch more photos, so we'll keep the intro to just the chicks!

You have a pretty flock! This site is great! I have yet to find something else that has such vast amounts of information on it. I'm new to chickens and have found most answers to my problems here :)
